Who we are

We are women who have participated in the TechWomen Program in Silicon Valley in USA.

TechWomen Rwanda is a team made of professional women working in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) in Rwanda and alumni from TechWomen program. The team expands with years as many more women from Rwanda are joining the program. Though eligible, all these women are not entitled to join the initiatives.

Why TechWomen Rwanda

TechWomen Rwanda aims through a variety of initiatives to grow the number of Rwandan women involved in STEM by changing the way, the field is perceived in the community.

• • • Raise awareness among young girls about STEM field

• • • Build, partner and expand network of female role models in STEM

• • • Provide knowledge and training on various topics related to STEM

• • • Advocate for gender diversity in the work place in the STEM field

• • • Have appropriate mentorship programs for Young girls in High schools

• • • Have role models exposed to young girls in High schools as a way to encourage them to embrace STEM innovation and entrepreneurship careers.
